Weaving the theme and the Quander Family’s history into a unit, Quander will discuss his family’s African American labor related history traced from the 1680s in Maryland and Virginia, including involuntary service to President George Washington. He will also discuss the many achievements of the family’s compensated service in many areas, including the military, education, religion, social action, and women’s rights.
Please join us for this historic presentation and book signing of Quander’s four books, the most recent being, The Quanders, Since 1684, An Enduring African American Legacy.
